SafeTripAlert uses a small number of cookies and equivalent local-storage entries. This page explains each category so you can make an informed choice under the EU ePrivacy Directive, UK PECR, and CCPA/CPRA.

1. Strictly necessary

Session tokens, CSRF protection, human-verification tokens, and the service-worker cache that lets the app work offline. These are required for the service to function and cannot be disabled.

2. Preferences

Theme, language, notification consent, and the "install prompt dismissed" flag. Stored only after you interact with the relevant control.

3. Analytics

We do not currently load third-party analytics or advertising cookies. If we introduce analytics we will ask for opt-in consent first.

4. Managing cookies

Use the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of any page to review or withdraw your consent, or clear cookies through your browser settings.
