These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and SafeTripAlert. By creating an account or using the service you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

1. What SafeTripAlert is — and what it is not

SafeTripAlert is a personal-safety companion that lets you share a live location link with a trusted contact, trigger SOS alerts, and record safe-zone arrivals. It is not a substitute for professional emergency services, medical services, or law-enforcement dispatch. In an emergency call your local emergency number first.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the service.

3. Your account

Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account.
Provide accurate contact information so notifications can be delivered.
You must have permission from anyone you add as a trusted contact before entering their details.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use SafeTripAlert to stalk, harass, or track a person without their informed consent.
Do not trigger false SOS alerts.
Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or bypass security controls.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. Availability & reliability

Live tracking relies on GPS, mobile networks, third-party messaging providers, and web browser APIs, all of which can fail or be unavailable. The service is provided "as is" and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free delivery of any message or alert.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SafeTripAlert and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profit, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

7. Intellectual property

The SafeTripAlert name, logo, and software are our property. You retain ownership of the data you submit. You grant us the limited licence needed to operate the service and deliver notifications you request.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend the service for maintenance or security reasons and will restore access as quickly as reasonably possible.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections available to you locally.
